We attended a trade event last year that featured winemakers and owners from a bunch of Willamette (pronounced “Will-AM-it-dammit”) Valley wineries and, I gotta tell ya, we never saw a bunch of winemakers enjoying themselves like this group. They told good stories about the challenges and joys of growing grapes in the Valley, while sipping their own wines in a light-hearted approach to educating attendees.
This year members of the public are invited to taste and learn more about the wines of seventy different wineries from Oregon’s Willamette Valley. They’ll be barreling into Chicago for Pinot in the City, a showcase of some of the world’s most exciting Pinot noirs. Owners and winemakers will be pouring a selection of wines, including library and current releases, paired with delicious Pinot noir-friendly small bites.
